Background

Nepal's National Conservation Strategy warns against the tendency to rely too heavily on the government for environmental solutions and emphasizes the need for local participation in conservation strategies and resource management in order to assure maximum benefits for present and future generations. ECCA feels that children can, and will, play a major role for the successful information dissemination to the community at large. Children catalyze the community to join the mainstream environmental movement and make a positive contribution towards sound resource management and conservation.
