Supporting Education in the Highlands: ECCA Nepal’s Book Donation Reaches Rasuwa District
At ECCA Nepal, we believe that education is a fundamental right and a powerful tool for change—especially in Nepal’s remote and underserved communities. We are proud to have recently partnered with Resources Himalaya Foundation to support children’s education in the high mountain region of Rasuwa, through the donation of children’s books.
As part of the Foundation’s ongoing research project titled "Energy Poverty Impacts on High Mountain Communities in Rural Nepal: Linking Education and Gender Equality", ECCA donated books were distributed to several local schools during a recent field visit.
A Message of Gratitude from the team at Resources Himalaya Foundation:
“We have successfully completed our field visit to Rasuwa and distributed the children’s books ECCA generously provided. The students and schools were delighted to receive the books, and we sincerely thank you for your valuable contribution to this effort.”
Delivering Books, Spreading Hope
From community households to local school compounds, the joy on the faces of teachers, students, and families truly says it all. These books are more than just learning materials—they are gateways to imagination, inspiration, and opportunity. In regions where energy poverty limits evening study hours and access to digital tools, printed books remain a vital educational lifeline.
This support will especially benefit young girls, who often face additional challenges in accessing education in remote mountain regions. By ensuring these children have access to quality reading materials, we are taking a step toward more inclusive and equitable learning environments.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Resources Himalaya Foundation for collaborating with us in this effort.
We also express our deepest appreciation to everyone who support ECCA Nepal’s mission. Your continued encouragement and involvement allow us to keep reaching the children who need us the most.
Together, we can ensure that even the most remote corners of Nepal are not left behind.
